Tortellini Panna

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 12 ounces cheese tortellini
  • 1/4 cup reserved pasta cooking liquid
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 lb prosciutto ham
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated (also good with asiago or romano)
  • 3/4 cup mushroom, sliced (can also use peas or broccoli)

Recipe

  • 1 mince garlic.
  • 2 cut proscuitto into thin strips.
  • 3 cook tortellini according to package directions.
  • 4 melt butter in skillet.
  • 5 add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • 6 add proscuitto and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • 7 add heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  • 8 cook until cream reduced by half.
  • 9 stir in parmesan and mushrooms.
  • 10 cook until cheese is melted into sauce.
  • 11 stir in reserved cooking liquid and tortellini and toss to coat.
