Tortellini Panna

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 12 ounces cheese tortellini
- 1/4 cup reserved pasta cooking liquid
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 6 garlic cloves
- 1/4 lb prosciutto ham
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated (also good with asiago or romano)
- 3/4 cup mushroom, sliced (can also use peas or broccoli)
Recipe
- 1 mince garlic.
- 2 cut proscuitto into thin strips.
- 3 cook tortellini according to package directions.
- 4 melt butter in skillet.
- 5 add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- 6 add proscuitto and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- 7 add heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- 8 cook until cream reduced by half.
- 9 stir in parmesan and mushrooms.
- 10 cook until cheese is melted into sauce.
- 11 stir in reserved cooking liquid and tortellini and toss to coat.
