best marinara

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 1/2 (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste

    Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins Ready Time: 25 mins

  • heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. stir in onion, garlic and celery and cook until soft. pour in tomatoes and tomato paste, stir, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. stir in parsley, basil, oregano, salt and pepper; simmer 15 minutes, uncovered. serve.
