Sweet 'n Crunchy Raisin Nut Granola

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup whole almond
  • 2/3 cup pecans
  • 1/3 cup roasted, shelled unsalted sunflower seeds (optional)
  • 3 cups dry rolled oats
  • 1 cup wheat germ
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups golden raisins

Recipe

  • 1 preheat the oven to 275 f.
  • 2 in a large bowl, toss the almonds, pecans, oats, what germ, and cinnamon.
  • 3 set aside.
  • 4 in a small saucepan, combine the honey, molasses, maple syrup, and vegetable oil.
  • 5 warm over low heat until bubbles/foams and turns light brown.
  • 6 add the mixture to the nuts and grains and toss throroughly.
  • 7 spread the granola on a large, rimmed baking sheet and bake for about 40 minutes, stirring throroughly every 10 minutes, until the nuts and grains are nicely toasted.
  • 8 let the granola cool and stir in the raisins.
  • 9 once thoroughly cooled, store the granola in an airtight container for up to a month.
