Spanish Rice

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups long-grain rice, uncooked
  • 2 large green bell peppers, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons cumin seeds, crushed
  • 1 -1 1/2 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce

Recipe

  • 1 in a large pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat.
  • 2 add in the rice and next 7 ingredients.
