Virginia's Easy Lasagne

Total Time: 1 hr 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (32 ounce) jar thick spaghetti sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 12 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 ounces uncooked lasagna noodles

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 brown beef in 3 quart saucepan; drain, and add sauce and water; simmer about 10 minutes.
  • 3 combine remaining ingredients, except lasagne, for filling.
  • 4 pour about 1 cup sauce in bottom of 9x13 pan.
  • 5 layer 3 uncooked lasagne noodles on top of sauce; top with about 1 1/2 cups sauce, and 1/2 of cheese filling.
  • 6 repeat layers of noodles, sauce, and filling.
  • 7 top with a layer of noodles and remaining sauce.
  • 8 cover with foil and bake for 55-60 minutes.
  • 9 remove foil; bake another 10 minutes.
  • 10 allow to stand for 10 minutes, to make cutting easier.
