Sweet Dough (breakfast Rolls)

Total Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup crisco
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 compressed yeast cakes
  • 1/4 cup luke warm water
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 -5 cups flour
  • sprinkled cinnamon-sugar mixture

Recipe

  • 1 scald milk.
  • 2 add sugar & salt.
  • 3 add yeast softened in 1/4 cup warm water.
  • 4 beat eggs & add 1/2 the flour.
  • 5 add remainder of flour.
  • 6 put dough in a greased bowl and let rise until double in bulk.
  • 7 punch down.
  • 8 roll out on floured board.
  • 9 sprinkle with cinnamon & sugar.
  • 10 roll into a long roll.
  • 11 cut off with a sharp knife into 2 inch strips.
  • 12 place these in a greased baking dish or cupcake tins.
  • 13 let them rise again.
  • 14 bake in oven at 425 degrees.
  • 15 15-25 minutes.
  • 16 these are real good.
