Tomato And Garlic Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb tomato
  • water
  • 2 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 clove crushed garlic or 1/4 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 3/4 teaspoon olive oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon tomato paste
  • salt (to taste)
  • pepper (to taste)
  • 3/4 teaspoon fresh basil, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 place tomatoes in a kettle, and cover with cold water.
  • 2 bring just to the boil, pour off water, and cover again with cold water.
  • 3 peel tomatoes and cut into small pieces.
  • 4 cook the spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente.
