Turkey-chili Mac

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 (8 ounce) package elbow macaroni
  • 1 lb fresh ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 (12 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 can water
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (15 ounce) can red kidney beans

Recipe

  • 1 cook macaroni according to package directions, drain and set aside.
  • 2 place ground turkey in a large pot and cook over medium heat 15 minutes or until turkey is browned, stirring to crumble.
  • 3 add onions, green peppers, and garlic.
  • 4 cook 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  • 5 stir in next 5 ingredients.
  • 6 cover and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 7 add kidney beans and macaroni.
  • 8 simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until macaroni and beans are mixed through and warm.
