Yellow Coconut Rice (tanzania)

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cups rice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Recipe

  • 1 in saucepan add coconut milk, and milk. bring to boil.
  • 2 add rice, salt, turmeric, cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom (if using).
  • 3 cover and cook until liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes.
  • 4 add 2 tablespoons butter.
  • 5 serve.
