Turkey Chili-a-roni

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 small yellow onion, chopped
- 3 large garlic cloves, minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons mexican seasoning
- 2 tablespoons onion flakes
- 3/4 lb ground turkey thigh meat
- 28 ounces medium salsa
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 8 ounces rotini pasta, uncooked
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Recipe
- 1 heat olive oil.
- 2 sauté green bell pepper for while.
- 3 add yellow onion and sauté for a while.
- 4 add minced garlic and sauté for while.
- 5 add mexican seasoning and onion flakes and stir.
- 6 add ground turkey thigh, crumble and brown until cooked.
- 7 meanwhile heat salsa with water, chili powder, dried oregano, sugar and pepper over medium heat.
- 8 add cooked ground turkey mixture to salsa mixture and stir.
- 9 add rotini and bring to a boil.
- 10 reduce heat to low, stir, cover and simmer until rotini is cooked stirring periodically.
- 11 remove from heat.
- 12 stir in cheddar cheese.
- 13 enjoy.
