Ukrainian Cornmeal Dressing (nachynka) For 100 People

Ingredients

- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 lb butter
- 6 cups cornmeal
- 6 quarts milk
- 4 cups cream
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 2 teaspoons pepper
- 24 eggs
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
Recipe
- 1 sauté onions in butter.
- 2 add cornmeal and fry for a little longer.
- 3 combine milk, cream, sugar, salt, and pepper.
- 4 heat until warm, add to cornmeal, mixing constantly.
- 5 let cook till thickened (if lumpy beat with egg beater).
