Pasta Sauce

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- salt
- pepper
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- shrimp, cooked, shelled and deveined
- fresh parsley, chopped
Recipe
- 1 melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. whisk in flour until smooth.
- 2 slowly add the milk whisking continuously until smooth.
- 3 bring to a boil and boil for about 1 minute or until the sauce is as thick as you like. add the salt, pepper and cheese. stir.
- 4 add the pre-cooked shrimp.
- 5 serve over pasta.
- 6 you can also add any other seafood that you like to this sauce or leave it out. i have also added chicken that was sauteed in garlic and olive oil.
- 7 this recipe also doubles well.
- 8 sprinkle chopped parsley over to garnish. top with extra grated parmesan cheese. jan.
