Pasta Sauce

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • shrimp, cooked, shelled and deveined
  • fresh parsley, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. whisk in flour until smooth.
  • 2 slowly add the milk whisking continuously until smooth.
  • 3 bring to a boil and boil for about 1 minute or until the sauce is as thick as you like. add the salt, pepper and cheese. stir.
  • 4 add the pre-cooked shrimp.
  • 5 serve over pasta.
  • 6 you can also add any other seafood that you like to this sauce or leave it out. i have also added chicken that was sauteed in garlic and olive oil.
  • 7 this recipe also doubles well.
  • 8 sprinkle chopped parsley over to garnish. top with extra grated parmesan cheese. jan.
