Tomato Cream And Mushroom Pasta

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 4 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 pint cream
  • 1 shallot
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 1/2 cups mushrooms
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • cayenne pepper
  • pasta, of choice
  • basil (optional)
  • shredded chicken (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 boil water for pasta.
  • 2 finely mince the shallot and garlic cloves and add to hot saucepan with olive oil and saute. season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • 3 add mushrooms and saute. then pour in chicken broth and reduce.
  • 4 add pasta to boiling water and season with salt. boil until al dente.
  • 5 after mushrooms are fully cooked, add in cream, tomato sauce and paste, and combine.
  • 6 simmer for about 5 minutes season with cayenne pepper, and add chicken and basil if your using it.
  • 7 drain pasta and mix into sauce, serve.
