Tortellini Marinara

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 (9 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb bulk italian sausage
  • 1 (15 ounce) package refrigerated marinara sauce
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced italian tomatoes, undrained
  • 1/2 lb sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese

Recipe

  • 1 cook tortellini according to package directions.
  • 2 meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.
  • 3 stir in marinara sauce, tomatoes and mushrooms.
  • 4 bring to a boil.
  • 5 reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until mushrooms are tender.
  • 6 drain tortellini; stir into skillet.
  • 7 sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  • 8 remove from the heat; cover and let stand for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
